The location of the hostel is convenient, as it is situated just a few blocks away from the riverside. This provides easy access to the wineries where guests can enjoy excellent products. the surrounding neighborhood is calm, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. the hostel offers clean rooms and bathrooms, with some rooms even equipped with their own kitchen and bathroom facilities. the staff is friendly and ready to assist guests with any queries or requests. the view from the rooms is great, especially in the rooms for four people which come with an in-room kitchen and bathroom.

There might be some inconvenience in terms of luggage storage. the facilities do not seem to allow guests to leave their backpacks before or after check-in, which can be problematic for those with a busy schedule or business meetings.

I really liked the stylish design of the hostel and the friendly staff. the hostel was super clean and had a cozy atmosphere, almost like a shared apartment. the fact that there was a kitchen and common room exclusively for the six travelers in my room was a great advantage. the location in Gaia was perfect for those who wanted to explore more of Porto, enjoy wine tasting, watch sunsets, or go to the beach. the hostel was not far from the train station, making it convenient for transportation.

That there was only one shower and one toilet in the bathroom for the six people in our room to share. Another drawback was that the beds were a bit noisy, which might bother some other travelers.

Incredible value for money, beautiful view, friendly staff, clean facilities, well-equipped kitchen, spacious rooms.

I recently stayed at Douro Surf in Porto for three nights and had an amazing time. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay, giving me helpful tips and even organizing surfing lessons for me. The location was perfect, close to the metro, the river, and all the must-see spots in the city. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and fast wifi. The shared kitchen and bathroom were well-maintained and I never had to wait to use them. a fantastic experience!

Douro Surf was a great find for our stay. The rooms were surprisingly spacious, clean, and comfortable with well-equipped kitchens and bathrooms. The location in Villa Nova de Gaia was convenient, just a short walk along the beautiful river to reach the center of Porto. The views from the rooms were stunning, overlooking the river and Porto. we had a pleasant and enjoyable experience during our stay at Douro Surf. Despite a few minor drawbacks, like the noise from the street and lack of heating, I would still highly recommend this hostel.

The staff at this place was outstanding! They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The lady at the front desk even ran to the market to get more plums for me when I mentioned I loved them. she drove us to the train station so we didn't miss our train. The location of the hostel was great - close to the city center but away from the crowds. And the fact that the kitchen and bathroom were shared with just one other room was a bonus.

The room we stayed in was a bit disappointing. It was smaller than advertised and had no window to the outside, only a window with the kitchen which also didn't have an external view.
